The Hidden Treasures of St. Barths: A Guide to Favorite Places

10 min read

Saint-Barth is the island where any dream becomes reality: from simple walk on one of the most beautiful beaches of the world to snorkeling along with turtles in the sea until going on a boat to live a unique experience nearby Saint-Barth Island.

Exploring Nature's Treasures: Hiking Trails of St. Barths

Discover Saint-Barth worldwide by hiking on the mountains and having the chance to meet some tortoises, cabris (local goats) or iguanas.

The most popular promenade starts from Villa Wake Up to stunning Colombier Beach (25-30 minute walk). Best way to start your day, admiring the morning beautiful sunrise or to end it, chilling on the beach in front of a speechless sunset… everything you need to feel in peace!

Two other nice hikes will take you to the natural pools around Grand fond and Petit Cul de Sac. Your butler will be pleased to come along with you there and to show you the secret path that lead to the famous natural “washing machine”.

Coastal Charms: Unveiling St. Barths' Best Beaches

Saint-Barth is known for its “white sugar” and idyllic sand beaches. Each of them has his own particularities and different atmospheres depending on the time in the day: some are sportive or relaxing in the morning, some family time in the afternoon while others are so romantic for sunset.

FLAMANDS BEACH
The most picturesque Saint-Barth’s beach, peaceful and pristine sanctuary located on the north western tip of the island, with a unique view on the three mystical islands: Pelé Island, Le Boulanger Island and Chevreau Island.

COLOMBIER BEACH
Idyllic beach accessible only by boat or by foot with a stunning 25-minute hike from Villa Wake Up. Stunning and calm place to spend the day swimming and snorkelling. Don’t forget to have a look at the historical Rockfeller Villa, an architecturalgem where celebrities such as Edmond de Rothschild or John
Fitzgerald Kennedy stopped by.

ST JEAN BEACH
This is one of the most historic beaches in Saint-Barth for one thing: to see the take-off and landing of the little flying planes.

...And more endless beaches

GOUVERNEUR BEACH
The most white-sand beach on the island, good waves and deep blue sea. Second nearest beach from Gustavia City Center, very nice to get there after a walk in the Center.

SHELL BEACH
Lovely beach of the island cover with shells. Amazing view on Statia and Saba Islands. Good to get there by mid-day to enjoy a lunch at Shellona restaurant or at sunset.

LORIENT BEACH
This is the place to ride the wave in Saint-Barth. Don’t forget to stop for lunch at sea front local place “Jojo Burger”.

SALINE BEACH
Wild white-sand beach with wild horizon view. Unspoiled and spectacular beach. Do not forget to get sun spray with you: sun is burning…If you are lucky, you may see giving birth turtles!

GRAND-CUL-DE-SAC BEACH
Calm and peaceful St Bath’s lagoon to do snorkelling with turtles or to experience water sports as kitesurfing. The clear blue sea will make your picture

Shopping Therapy: Indulge in St. Barths' Boutiques

With three different shopping areas offering more than 200 boutiques and all year sales. This is why Saint-Barth is well known as one of the “World’s 10 Best Shopping Destinations” by the Forbes.

Quai de la République, the main Gustavia road, rivals Paris’s Avenue Montaigne for elegant displays in exciting designer shops as Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Cartier, Chopard. Don’t forget to spot the special editions only available at the island stores. Also, discover young French designers with perfectly appointed collections for the tropical climes: Lolita Jaca, Mc2 Saint Barth…

Home decor shops range from classic design to unique and unusual objects collected from all around the world.

Not to forget, on the way to the Nikki Beach, La villa Créole and St Jean’s Pelican Shops, with casual and affordable options along with a nice walk in this area.
