The Michelin Guide, world-renowned for its precise assessments and rigorous approach to gastronomy, recently innovated by introducing a new system of distinctions specifically dedicated to the hotel industry: the Michelin keys.

This new evaluation method recognizes the excellence of hotels in terms of service quality, comfort and their ability to offer an outstanding customer retreat. Three levels of distinction, ranging from one to three keys, denote the quality and prestige of the establishment.

In France, only 24 hotels had the honor of awarding the maximum of three keys, and only 9 Parisian establishments were honored for this very first edition. These included such prestigious names as Le Bristol, La Réserve, Le Saint James, Le Four Seasons George V, Le Plaza Athénée, Le Meurice, Le Cheval Blanc, Le Ritz and Maison Villeroy.

Unlike the other establishments, which are renowned palaces, Maison Villeroy is distinguished by its private mansion character, and has retained the intimate, exclusive atmosphere that gives it its name.
