History
A Circle of infinite possibilities

10 min read

The word has spread, yet the true meaning remains enigmatic. A Circle? Yes. Everlasting? Absolutely. Rare? Beyond imagination… Having been a member for over two years, Mr. P. is a dynamic businessman who relishes life's pleasures and takes fitness seriously. He frequently visits Maison Villeroy’s Circle, sometimes to hold meetings at the bar, other times for business lunches at the restaurant, and regularly for workouts with his private coach. There is a mystique around The Circle, a term that's exclusive, enduring, and unimaginably rare. We've taken the opportunity to interview Mr. P. to delve deeper into his experience at Maison Villeroy and his unique perspective on The Circle.

When you hear the word “Circle,” how does it resonate?

When I hear The Circle, I instantly think of a select group of individuals who have been privileged with access to an exclusive world. It evokes feelings of being part of an elite community, bound by shared values and experiences.

Do you perceive a circle as being exclusive? Is it because of its shape or the word itself?

Absolutely. A circle, by its very nature, implies inclusion and exclusivity simultaneously. The shape suggests unity, a sense of togetherness, and the word itself conveys a certain exclusivity. It’s an amalgamation of both these aspects that make The Circle so appealing.

"The word circle definitely has a stronger resonance for me. There's a harmonious, inclusive quality associated with circles that triangle or square doesn't quite capture. Despite our wish for individual privacy, the completeness and unity of a circle remains. Importantly, the decision of 'who' can enter your circle stays yours, preserving your personal space."

Do you feel reassured being in a circle, in a literal sense? If so, how and why?

I wouldn’t necessarily say it reassures me, but it does make me feel privileged. Being part of The Circle is akin to being part of an exclusive club with a limited number of members. It’s this exclusivity that contributes to the feeling of privilege

Is it the exclusive access to Maison Villeroy, or being around like-minded individuals that you seek? Perhaps both.

While the prospect of mingling with like-minded individuals is appealing, it was primarily the exclusive access to Maison Villeroy’s facilities that attracted me. Interestingly, despite being part of The Circle, we don’t often cross paths or meet other members. However, when I do encounter others, I enjoy engaging in stimulating conversations and exchanging ideas with them. Essentially, the appeal lies in having access to privileged spaces and the ability to enjoy privacy in such an exquisite setting.

And why Maison Villeroy rather than another club in Paris?

Maison Villeroy stands out due to its intimate, discreet, and refined character. It provides a serene oasis amidst the bustling city, offering an unparalleled experience of elegance and refinement.

What goal do you hope to achieve by accessing these unique experiences with your membership?

My main aim was to gain access to the various exquisite facilities at Maison Villeroy, such as the restaurant, bar, and meeting room. Their strategic location and the high level of privacy they offer made them particularly attractive

Part of Voile d’Or, our members benefit from preferential advantages at all our destinations from Saint Barthélemy, Courchevel, or even Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

If you had to pick only one thing you like most about The Circle among all the advantages, facilities, etc., what would it be and why?

Without a doubt, it would be the bar. The bar at Maison Villeroy is truly majestic and magnificent. Extending an invitation to this resplendent space is a pleasure in itself, as each visit promises delightful surprises. The bar’s intimate atmosphere, complemented by its exclusive nature, makes it feel like a second home

The sense of exclusivity, the unparalleled access to facilities, and the sophisticated atmosphere of the venue all contribute to the unique appeal of The Circle. This glimpse into a member’s world provides a rare view into the exclusive, refined, and intimate realm of The Circle at Maison Villeroy.
